Applod 25% Suspension Concentrate – Applod is a long-lasting insecticide that affects successive generations of whiteflies, scale insects, and mealybugs. Its mechanism of action differs from other insecticides as it acts as a growth regulator during molting, preventing the insect from completing its development, causing deformities, death, and an incomplete life cycle. 25% Suspension Concentrate – Applod is a long-lasting insecticide that affects successive generations of whiteflies, scale insects, and mealybugs. Characteristics and Features
- The advantages of the insecticide Applud are that it is selective and has no harmful effect on the parasites that infest whitefly larvae. This demonstrates the possibility of successfully using Applud as an element of Integrated Pest Management (IPM), due to the selective effect of this insecticide on the immature stages of whiteflies and scale insects, on the dominant natural enemies and mealybugs, and the preservation of the dominant natural enemies.
- It is compatible with biological control methods.
- It eliminates all types of whiteflies that infest (cotton - vegetables - citrus fruits).
- It eliminates whitefly larvae, scale insects, and mealybugs at various ages before they cause damage.
- It has the ability to cause sterility, resulting in the complete freedom of the whitefly to lay unfertilized eggs.
- It has a high vapor power that spreads around the plant to repel insects in places that the spray solution cannot reach.
- It can be used in various spraying methods, including thermal fogging and ultra-fine spraying.
- Effective for a long time and with a few sprays during the season.
- It is compatible with many insecticides… from a different chemical group than other growth regulators.
- The crop can be harvested shortly after spraying.
- It has no toxic effect on bees
- It eliminates scale insects and mealybugs in their early stages on various fruit crops.

Whitefly control
- One of the most important factors in successfully controlling any pest is the timing of spraying, proper application, and using the recommended concentration. Applod is a new and ideal compound for controlling whiteflies, scale insects, and mealybugs. Although its use in Egypt came late, despite its global reputation as one of the best-known compounds for controlling whiteflies, scale insects, and mealybugs, it is primarily designed to control immature stages, thus preventing their spread. The best time to spray Applod is at the beginning of larval emergence (detected by louvers) or when a small number of adult insects are present on the plant. Early detection of infestation contributes to successful control. Applod effectively controls the nymphal stage, often referred to as the larval stage. To increase its effectiveness, a second spray is usually required after two weeks to eliminate the newly hatched nymphs. If spraying is delayed and there are a large number of adult and immature insects in the field, it is advisable to mix Applod with another insecticide that is effective against adult insects to reduce their population and ensure the effectiveness is extended and residual. To increase its effect on adult insects, it is necessary to mix it with one of the pesticides (Icon or Neodrin) when their numbers increase, so that the mixture is useful in controlling bollworms, given the overlap of bollworm generations in late July, August and September with whitefly generations, which usually begin to appear in cotton fields during July.
How to prepare the spray solution
